CIRCA:Embedding Voyeur

Wordpress

  1. Go to http://github.com/mcds/Voyeur-WordPress-Plugin.
  2. Click download button and save the file as whichever format you like.
  3. On your computer go to Wordpress > wp-content > plugins and create a new folder called 'voyeurWP'.
  4. Find the file that you downloaded called 'mcds-Voyeur-Wordpress-Plugin-xxxxxx' and copy and paste it into the 'voyeurWP' folder. (NOTE: the xxxxxx will be a set of six random numbers you are assigned when you download voyeur.)
  5. Log into Wordpress using the administrator account.
  6. In the main dashboard menu click plugins on the left hand toolbar.
  7. Click activate under Voyeur in order to activate the plugin.
  8. Click the appearance heading in the toolbar then go to the 'widgets' menu.
  9. In the widgets menu find Voyeur and click and drag it to the right side of the screen into one of the 'Widget areas'.
  10. You can adjust the settings by clicking on the drop-down tab on the right hand side of the Voyeur widget.
  11. To view the widget go to your homepage.

OJS

  1. Go to https://github.com/mcds/Voyeur-OJS-Plugin.
  2. Click download button and save the file as whichever format you like.
  3. On your computer go to OJS > plugins > generic and create a new folder called 'voyeur'.
  4. Find the file that you downloaded called 'mcds-Voyeur-OJS-Plugin-xxxxxxx' and copy and paste it into the 'voyeurWP' folder. (NOTE: the xxxxxxx will be a set of seven random numbers you are assigned when you download voyeur.)
  5. Log into OJS using the administrator account.
  6. On the left hand side under the heading 'My Journals' click on 'Journal Manager' under the journal you want to embed Voyeur into.
  7. Under the heading 'Management Pages' click 'System Plugins' then 'Generic Plugins'.
  8. Find Voyeur and click 'enable'.
  9. You can adjust the settings by clicking 'Settings'.
